There is something quite energizing about Spanish instrumental music, especially those written for dance and Fiestas. The driving force of the music has stood the test of time and is still well represented in the Spanish culture. There are many different styles within this genre of music that are quite popular, with the music and dance of Flamenco being the most recognizable.
Corazón de Fuego was originally written back in 2018 and then later revised in 2022. While it is not written in any particular style, it is heavily influenced by tradition Spanish instrumental music. The purpose of the piece is to recreate the energy and drive that Spanish music has, while also incorporating elements of improve and dance. The flute player acts as the lead instrumentalist with all the flares while the piano often has the more consistent rhythmic drive.
